Letter written from Siena by Elizabeth Barrett Browning to Henry F Chorley, the critic, sending an additional stanza for her poem A Tale of Villa Franca with the reason for the its omission from the copy recently printed in the Atheneum (24th September) and discussing the state of Italian politics since the Battle of Solferino.
