St Genevieve, 1886. St Genevieve or Genovefa (422-500), the French saint who dedicated herself to God at the age of 7 and took the veil at 15. She is the patron saint of Paris, and a guardian agaist plague, fever and disasters. Published in Butler's, Lives of the Saints, DIV 3, by the Rev Alban Butler, London & Dublin, 1886.
