The Four Courts bombarded, Dublin, Ireland, July 1922 (1935). IRA members opposed to the terms of the Anglo-Irish Treaty of 1921 occupied the Four Courts in April 1922. In June, exasperated with the situation and under pressure from the British to resolve it, Michael Collins, leader of the Provisional Government of the Irish Free State, ordered the artillery bombardment of the Four Courts. A print from King Emperor's Jubilee, 1910-1935, by F G H Salusbury, Daily Express Publications, London, 1935.
