Lambton Castle, County Durham, home of the Earl of Durham, c1880. Built in the 1800s, the house was designed by Joseph Bonomi the Elder and his son Ignatius to resemble a Norman Castle. Wood-engraved plates after paintings by Benjamin Fawcett and Alexander Francis Lydon.
