Danbury Palace, Essex, home of the Bishop of Rochester, c1880. The house was built in 1832. It was acquired by the Church of England in 1845 and became the residence of the Bishop of Rochester. Wood-engraved plates after paintings by Benjamin Fawcett and Alexander Francis Lydon.
