Cathedral of Notre-Dame, Reims, France, 1882-1884. Detail of the facade of the cathedral, where the kings of France used to be crowned. The building dates from the late 13th century and is one of the finest Gothic cathedrals in France. It was seriously damaged by German artillery in World War I and underwent major restoration work before reopening in 1937.
