Meal time, Livingstone to Broken Hill, Northern Rhodesia, 1925 (1927). A print from Cape to Cairo, by Stella Court Treatt, George G Harrap & Company Ltd, 1927. The book was an account of the first successful journey by motor vehicle from Cape Town to Cairo, accomplished by Stella Court Treatt and her husband, Major Chaplin Court Treatt, in 1924-1926. This photograph shows expedition members Chaplin Court Treatt (1888-1954), Errol Hinds (1908-1980), Stella Court Treatt (1895-1976) and Thomas A Glover.
