Ginger Rogers, American actress, dancer and singer, c1938. Ginger Rogers (1911-1995) appeared in 73 films over a 35 year movie career. She is best known for her partnership with Fred Astaire, with whom she starred in 9 musicals in the 1930s. In 1941 she won the Best Actress Oscar for her performance in Kitty Foyle.
