Légende
Sarcophagus and burial chamber of Rameses VI, Valley of the Kings, Egypt, c1890. Rameses VI was the fifth ruler of the Twentieth dynasty of Egypt. He reigned from 1145 to 1137 BC. His tomb is located near to that of Tutankhamun. It was ransacked and looted by grave robbers, probably not long after the pharaoh's burial. The looting served to preserve Tutankhamun's tomb from a similar fate as debris from Rameses' tomb covered the entrance to Tutankhamun's. Lantern slide.
