Colonel Ambrosio José Gonzales (1818-1893), Cuban revolutionary who became a Colonel in the Confederate States Army during the American Civil War. Gonzales, as a revolutionary, wanted the United States to annex Cuba. During the American Civil War he served as the Chief of Artillery in the Department of South Carolina, Georgia, and Florida.
