Jean Bart a la cour de Louis XIV', Jean Bart (1650-1702) at the Court of Louis XIV (1638-1715). Jean Bart was a French naval commander and privateer who became captain of one of the Dunkirk privateers. In this capacity he showed great bravery, to the extent that Louis XIV sent him on a special mission to the Mediterranean, where he gained great military distinction.
