'The following morning Cicero made another speech against Catiline', c1912 (1912). Marcus Tullius Cicero discovered a second plot by Lucius Sergius Catiline to murder the Consuls and take over the government. Without evidence Cicero could not take affirmative action, instead he made a speech denouncing Catiline, who was present and who later fled from Rome. From The Story of Rome, by Mary MacGregor.
