The interior of Westminster Hall at the coronation banquet of King George II, 1727 (1911). George II (1683-1760), King of Great Britain and Ireland, Duke of Brunswick-Lüneburg and Prince-Elector of the Holy Roman Empire. George II was crowned at Westminster Abbey on 22 October 1727. The composer George Frideric Handel was commissioned to write four new anthems for the coronation, including Zadok the Priest. From London - North of the Thames, by Sir Walter Besant.
