The bay window, Boodle's Club, London, c1900 (1901). Boodle's is a London gentlemen's club founded in 1762 by Lord Shelburne, later Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. It is the second oldest gentlemen's club in the world. The club house, at 28 St James's Street, was designed by John Crunden (1741-1835) in 1775. From Living London, Vol. 1, edited by George R. Sims.
