'Bosnia. Pastoral peace dwells in and around Jezero, in the Pliva valley, where the winding stream, and its chain of lakes between that village and Jajce make rich grazing ground for large flocks of sheep', c1920. The Pliva valley is situated in the northern part of Bosnia and Herzegovina and takes its name from the river Pliva, which crosses the valley with the river Janj.
