Légende
'Edward II', 1935. Edward (1284-1327) who ruled from 1307 until he was deposed in January 1327. He is thought to have been murdered later that year, possibly by having a red-hot piece of metal inserted into his rectum. This would have penetrated the entrails without leaving an exterior mark. From Kings & Queens of England - A Series of 50. [John Player & Sons, London, 1935]
