A French Peugeot AM Mod.E1 1914, armed with a Hotchkiss 6.5mm machine gun, drives past cavalry at rest as it carries injured soldiers to an aid station behind the front lines. This make and model was issued to the French Army 1st cavalry Corps in 1916. In the foreground is a French civilian Ford Model-T ambulance. Photograph from a series of glass plate stereoview images depicting scenes from World War I (1914-1918).
