'St James, Garlick Hithe, The Steeple', mid-late 19th century. One of a set of views of baroque London churches. St James Garlickhythe in the City of London was rebuilt by the office of Sir Christopher Wren after the previous church was destroyed in the Great Fire of London in 1666. Another Wren church, St Paul's Cathedral, is visible in the distance.
