'Suffolk House. After Hollar.', (1881). Suffolk House in London, seen from the River Thames, as it might have looked in the 17th century. It was a large Jacobean townhouse on the Strand, with a single central courtyard and turrets at each corner. It was owned by the Earls of Suffolk and later by the Dukes of Northumberland when it became known as Northumberland House. It was demolished in 1874.
