'Faithful Ships That Serve London's Need: The Pool from Custom House to Billingsgate', c1935. Cargo ships on the River Thames, seen from the south bank. Opposite can be seen the Monument (centre), the spire of St Magnus the Martyr, and the dome of St Paul's Cathedral. The Pool of London is the part of the Thames used by shipping, between London Bridge and the north-eastern tip of the Rotherhithe peninsula.
