Légende
'Chancel and East Window of St. Margaret's, Westminster', c1935. St Margaret's Church, which stands in the grounds of Westminster Abbey in central London, is dedicated to Margaret of Antioch. It was founded in the twelfth century, and the current building was consecrated in 1523. The east window above the altar, seen here, contains the oldest stained glass in the church and depicts the Crucifixion. Made probably between 1515 and 1526, it commemorates the marriage of King Henry VIII and Catherine of Aragon. From "Wonderful London, Volume 3", edited by Arthur St John Adcock.
