'Old Court House Street from the South. Calcutta', c1910. View of the 'Dead Letter Office', the Telegraph Office in Calcutta, (now Kolkata), Bengal, India. The building, the central sorting office for incoming mail to the city, is Italianate in style with a 120-foot campanile tower. On the left are the premises of Cooke & Kelvey, jewellers, silversmiths and watchmakers, and a tram runs down the centre of the street. Postcard.
