Samuel Arnold (1740-1802) was organist of the Chapels Royal and Westminster Abbey. Dr Arne (1710-1778) was responsible for composing "Rule Britannia". Handel (1685-1759), was a German-born baroque musician who lived much of his life in England, where he composed his masterpiece, "Messiah". Bishop (1786-1855) is most famous for the song "Home! Sweet Home!". Purcell (1659-1695) wrote an ode for the King's birthday at the age of ten. [The London Printing and Publishing Company, London]
