Lady Wulfrun statue and St Peter's Church, Wolverhampton, West Midlands. The city of Wolverhampton is named after Lady Wulfruna, a Saxon noblewoman, who founded the town in 985. She founded a monastery in 994, the site of which is now occupied by St Peter's Church, which dates from 1425. The statue of Wulfruna, which stands in front of the church, can be seen to the right of centre of the picture.
