During World War II the Swedish Red Cross brokered a series of agreements between the Germans and the Allies for exchanges of sick and wounded prisoners of war via Sweden. These prisoners may be Germans on their way home after surrendering in Norway when the war ended. From the Trelleborgs Museum Collection.
