Royal procession of Queen Elizabeth I, c1580 (1744). Engraving after a painting of the Royal Procession of Queen Elizabeth I to visit Henry Carey (1526-1596), Lord Hunsdon, Governor of Berwick upon Tweed, Privy Councillor, courtier and administrator, who received lands in Derbyshire after the Northern Uprising of 1569-1570. The engraving, in the possession of Lord Digby, was made for Edward, Earl of Oxford and Mortimer (1687-1741), owner of Bolsover Castle.
