Michigan Avenue, Chicago, Illinois, USA, 1957. Postcard looking north on Michigan Avenue showing the Prudential Building and Public Library. Designed by Naess & Murphy and completed in 1955, the Prudential building was the first major skyscraper to be built in Chicago in 21 years. Today it is known as One Prudential Plaza, to distinguish it from its neighbouring sister skyscraper, Two Prudential Plaza, built in 1990.
