Residential house construction, South Yorkshire, early 1960s. One of the more succesful home builders in the South Yorkshire area was Ben Bailey Homes. In this photograph, Mr Bailey checks the progress of one of his projects, which are good examples of suburban, semi-detatched houses. The company was taken over by his son Richard and the name eventually disappeared when it was sold to Strata.
