In a campaign to promote their range of gas powered cookers and fridges, the East Midlands Gas Board set up shows to exibit their products to the public. In the days when many homes were without TVs, this was an ideal way to promote the use of gas for every day appliances. This show was held at Darfield, near Barnsley in July 1961.
