'Soupa' Dance sponsored by Heinz, Mexborough, South Yorkshire, 1959. The residents of the South Yorkshire town of Mexborough look pleased to receive their free sample of Heinz Tomato Soup. In the days before widespread television ownership, companies would organise road shows, exhibitions and social functions to promote their products. This one was held at the Empress Ballroom in November of 1959.
