Original Brown Derby Restaurant, Los Angeles, California, USA, 1953. Vintage postcard showing the exterior of the Brown Derby Restaurant located on Wilshire Boulevard. The Brown Derby restaurants were a chain in Los Angeles. The original restaurant, built in the shape of a men's Derby hat, opened on Wilshire Boulevard in 1926. In 1980 it made way for a shopping centre, but the domed structure was reused on the third floor of the new building, housing a cafe.
