San Esteban Church, Segovia, Spain, 2007. This 12th century church is located on Plaza de San Esteban. Its 53 metre-high Byzantine tower, a National Monument, is considered to be one of the most beautiful examples of the Romanesque style. The tower consists of six segments relieved by arches and is topped by a steeple with a weathercock. After a fire in 1896 it was disassembled. Upon rebuilding in the early slate spire was replaced with one of tiles.
