Vintage postcard showing the exterior of the the Rittenhouse home, a small stone structure with a white picket fence set in a wooded area. David Rittenhouse (1732-1796) was a noted American astronomer. He was a member of the American Philosophical Society and served as the first director of the United States Mint.
