Dutch East India Company wood or saw mill on the island two miles from Batavia called 'Onrost' or 'Unruhe', from a series of views of Batavia 'Schau-platz von Africa und Ost-Indien', published 1744 (engraving). Batavia was the name of the capital city of the Dutch East Indies that corresponds to modern day Central Jakarta, a province of Indonesia; established as a Dutch colony 1619; became the centre of the Dutch East India Company?s trading network in Asia.
