'The Battle of Lesnaya', 1717. Fought by the armies of Sweden and Russia on 9 October 1708 in what is today Belarus, the Battle of Lesnaya was one of the major engagements of the Great Northern War. The Russians, commanded by Tsar Peter the Great, emerged victorious. Found in the collection of the State A Pushkin Museum of Fine Arts, Moscow.
