'Interior of the Aviary in the Pavlovsk Palace', mid 19th century. The Pavlovsk Palace was designed in the 1780s by Charles Cameron, a Scottish architect who carved out an illustrious career at the court of Catherine the Great of Russia. It was built for Catherine's son and heir, Paul I, and his wife, Maria Feodorovna. Found in the collection of the State Open-air Museum Pavlovsk Palace, St Petersburg.
