Statue of Mikael Agricola, Lutheran Cathedral, Helsinki, Finland, 2011. Mikael Agricola (1510-1557) was a Finnish clergyman who was an important figure in the Protestant Reformation in his country. He was also the creator of the first set of grammatical rules for the written Finnish language. Helsinki's Lutheran Cathedral (Tuomiokirkko), also known as the Cathedral of St Nicholas, was designed by by Carl Engel and built between 1830 and 1852.
