Légende
Clumber Park, c1880. View of Clumber Park near Worksop in Nottinghamshire, once part of Nottinghamshire's famed 'Dukeries'. It was originally a monatery, and later home to the Dukes of Newcastle. It was rebuilt in the 18th century, but seriously damaged by a fire in 1879. Clumber was abandoned, and finally demolished in 1938. The park was used as an ammunitions dump during the Second World War. Frontispiece from "A Series of Picturesque Views of Seats of Noblemen and Gentlemen of Great Britain", Vol. II, by Francis Orpen Morris. [William Mackenzie, London, 1880]
