('The act of conveying the venerable [pontiff] in the solemn procession of Corpus Christi in the year 1824'). Pope Leo XII (1760-1829) is carried with great ceremony through the Vatican in Rome, fanned with ostrich feathers under a canopy, accompanied by priests and Swiss Guards, on the Feast of Corpus Christi.
