'George IV. Taking his favorite Exercise, near the Sandpit Gate, Windsor Park', 1830. King George IV (1762-1830) taking 'exercise' in the form of riding in a carriage near Windsor Castle. George was famously overweight and unhealthy due to his heavy drinking and the huge banquets he indulged in. He suffered from gout, arteriosclerosis, peripheral oedema ('dropsy'), and possibly porphyria.[Thomas Kelly, London, 1830]
