'Annual Celebration by the Wall of the Communards at the Père-Lachaise Cemetery in Paris', 1883, (1965). Crowd of people at the Communards' Wall (Mur des Fédérés) at the Père Lachaise cemetery in Paris. On 28 May 1871, 147 combatants of the Paris Commune (fédérés), were shot and their bodies thrown in an open trench at the foot of the wall. Painting in the State Tretyakov Gallery, Moscow.
