The Katz overlooking the Rhine, St Goarshausen, Germany, 1895. Katz Castle was built c1371 by Count William II of Katzenelnbogen. The castle, above the above Sankt Goarshausen on the river Rhine, was bombarded in 1806 by Napoleon, and rebuilt in the late 19th century.
