Flooding in London, 1928, (1935). 'Fourteen people were drowned as they slept in basement near the river and much damage was done to the surrounding property'. Flood waters poured over the top of the Thames Embankment and part of the Chelsea Embankment collapsed during the 1928 Thames flood.
