George Lansbury, c1930, (1935). Portrait of British politician George Lansbury (1859-1940) who became a socialist in the early 1890s, and was elected to Parliament in 1910. He resigned his seat to campaign for women's suffrage, and later led the Labour Party from 1932 to 1935.
