The City Palace and St. Nicholas' Church, Potsdam, Germany, c1900. 'Château royal à Potsdam'. View of the original columns of the City Palace, and the dome of St Nicholas behind. The palace was the winter residence of the margraves and electors of Brandenburg, later kings in Prussia, kings of Prussia and German emperors. It was built in the 1660s. The church dates from 1830.
