'Tippoo Saib', c1790, (1890). Tipu Sultan (1750-1799) ruler of the Kingdom of Mysore, deployed rockets against British forces and their allies during the Anglo-Mysore Wars and the Siege of Seringapatam. He has an ambitious economic development, introducing some of the world's highest real wages and living standards in the late 18th century.
