'The voice is Jacob's voice, but the hands are the hands of Esau', 19th century? Biblical scene, from Genesis 27: 22: 'And Jacob went near unto Isaac his father; and he felt him, and said, The voice is Jacob's voice, but the hands are the hands of Esau'. The blind and elderly Israelite patriarch Isaac is visited by his son Jacob who pretends to be his brother Esau in order to fool his father into blessing him and making him the primary heir.
