Bust of Pope Alexander VIII, c1690, (1881). Etching of a bronze portrait bust of Alexander VIII, made in Italy by Domenico Guidi. Alexander (born Pietro Ottoboni), was Pope from 1689-1691. Here he is wearing the mozetto (or capuccio) round his shoulders, and a stola embroidered with figures of St Peter and St Paul, double eagles, and the papal keys and tiara.
