'I. Oliver', (c1565-1617), 1830. Isaac Oliver (c1565-1617) English portrait miniature painter. Moved to England with Huguenot parents to escape Wars of Religion in France. He studied under Nicholas Hilliard and after the death of Elizabeth I, became court painter for James I, painting queen Anne of Denmark and Henry Frederick, Prince of Wales.
