Légende
Birds of Prey, 1893. In order to exhibit as much as possible in his home, Bonebrake removed the doors from closets to create mini-galleries. One of these, which he dubbed the "chamber of horrors, was reserved for works that might cause fright or apprehension. Birds of Prey, which depicts avians clutching human body parts, would have been hung there. It was published in L?Estampe Originale (The Original Print), the greatest of the late-19th-century print publications.
